Dalai Lama’s teaching to Tibetan youth at TCV School; Sikyong to launch MWA campaign

DHARAMSALA, June 3: The Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will give teachings over June 4 to 6 to Tibetan youth at the Tibetan Children’s Village School (Upper TCV).

His Holiness will give teachings on The Heart Sutra (sherab nyingpo) and Praise to the Intelligent One (Manjushri Prayer gang loma)on June 4 and 5 respectively. The teachings will be held in the morning from 8:30 to 11:30 am (IST) inside the TCV School Auditorium. Though seating in the auditorium will be reserved for registered students only, the teachings will be made available outside the auditorium through a public address system.

On the morning of June 6, His Holiness will confer the Avalokiteshvera Initiation (chenresig wang) from 8:30 to 11:30 am at the school’s basketball court.

After the teaching on June 5, the elected head of the Tibetan people, Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay will launch the Central Tibetan Administration’s (CTA) Middle Way Approach Campaign.

Sikyong Sangay will formally present to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, educational materials produced by the CTA to raise awareness around the world about the Middle Way Approach and its aim to peacefully bring genuine autonomy to Tibetan people in the People’s Republic of China.

The Middle Way Approach was originally formulated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
