DHARAMSALA, Nov 9: Donald Trump has defeated Hillary Clinton in the race to the White House and became the 45th US President.

Defying all odds, Trump, a celebrated business icon, former reality TV star and a newbie politician managed to put up a stunning upset.

Securing Wisconsin’s 10 electoral votes took Trump beyond the magical 270 mark and laid to rest the prospect of his opponent, Hillary Clinton becoming the first woman President of the United States of America.

“I just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us on our victory,” Trump said as he took to the stage for his victory rally at Trump Tower, reports bbc.com Nov 9.
