Mr Tibet 2017 kicks off with ‘Swim Trunk’ round and pool party

DHARAMSALA, Oct 26:  The first Tibetan male beauty pageant, ‘Mr Tibet 2017’ kicked off today with the ‘Swim Trunk’ round at High Land Village Resort at Norbulingka.

The contestants walked across the swimming pool one after another and posed for the shutterbugs amid huge cheers from the crowd.

The ‘Swim Trunk’ round was followed by a pool party where everyone danced to the tunes of hit tracks played by the Director of Yak Events, Tenzin Tashi, a DJ and event organizer by profession.

The Fashion and the Glamour round (western & Tibetan) will be held today in the evening at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA). The remaining rounds and the grand finale will also be held at the same venue on Oct 27 and 28.

Dharamsala Tibetan Settlement Officer, Dawa Rinchen and former President of Indo-Tibetan Friendship Association, Ram Swaroop attended the event as the Special Guest and Chief Guest respectively.
