Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi takes over as Kashag Secretariat

DHARAMSALA, 10 April: Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi today took over as the Kashag (Cabinet) Secretary of the Central Tibetan Administration(CTA) succeeding Topgyal Tsering Zongkha.

Former Kashag Secretary Topgyal Tsering Zongkha consigned the designation to the newly appointed Kashag Secretary Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi after successfully conducting the customary procedure that involves handing over of three significant seals to the new Cabinet Secretary, reports CTA’s official webpage tibet.net.

At the handover-takeover of the Kashag Secretary that took place earlier today in the presence of Department of Information and International Relations Secretary and CTA’s spokesperson Sonam Norbu Dagpo, Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi was handed the ‘Kadam Sishey Dickyi’ seal, ‘Sertam’ seal and ‘Taksam’ seal as both the outgoing and new secretary signed on the official handover-take over documents, the report added.

The newly appointed Kashag Secretary has expressed his gratitude for trusting him with the responsibility and vowed to work ‘effectively and efficiently’.

Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi was the Health Secretary of the CTA before his new assignment and has previously served as the Secretary of the Department of Religion and Culture.
