DHARAMSALA, 16 Feb: The Czech Parliamentary Support Group for Tibet has extended greetings to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, President Dr Lobsang Sangay and the Central Tibetan Administration, the Tibetan parliament in exile and Tibetans inside and outside Tibet on the occasion of Losar (Tibetan New Year) while assuring continued support for Tibet.

“We the Czech Parliamentary Support Group for Tibet would like to wish you all happy Iron ox New Year and a lot of success for the cause of Tibet,” read the Losar greeting signed by honourable Frantisek Kopriva, co-chair in the Chamber of Deputies and Honorable Senator Premysl Rabas, co-chair in the Senate on behalf of the parliamentary support group.

Assuring the Parliamentary Group’s continued support for Tibet, it added that “We will further continue supporting Tibet until the genuine autonomy will be reached through the Middle Way Approach and His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama returns to Tibet.”

Additionally, the Czech Parliamentary Support Group for Tibet has also congratulated on the passage of the Tibetan Policy and Support Act of 2020 by the US.

“We are sure that this important achievement will be very instrumental for the Tibetan cause.”

Losar means New Year in Tibetan. This year is the Year of the Iron Ox of 2148 according to the Tibetan lunar calendar.

Established in 2018, the Czech Parliamentary Support Group for Tibet with over fifty representatives from both chambers of the Czech Parliament is the largest parliamentary group for Tibet in Europe.

It was launched in September 2018 coinciding with the CTA President Dr Sangay’s visit to Prague, the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic.
