Dr Namgyal Choedup takes charge as new Representative of Office of Tibet, DC
DHARAMSALA, 3 Dec: Dr Namgyal Choedup formally took charge as the new Representative of Office of Tibet, Washington DC on 2 December, after successfully concluding the handing over of charge from the outgoing Representative Ngodup Tsering.
A brief handing over ceremony was held at the office on Thursday in the presence of Representative for Latin America Jigme Tsering, reports tibet.net, the official website of the Central Tibetan Administration(CTA).
CTA’s Representative for Latin America Jigme Tsering oversaw the handing and taking over of the Office and that started on 1 December as per Kashag’s directive, the report stated.
The Kashag of the Central Tibetan Administration appointed Dr Namgyal Choedupas the new Representative of North America based in Washington DC as per Article 19(1) of the Tibetan Public Service Commission’s rules and regulations, according to a circular issued on 19 Nov 2021.
