Kashag urges Tibetans to remain vigilant against hate messages on social media over Tibetan youth’s death

DHRAMSALA, Nov 7: In light of various comments and messages circulating on social media following the death of a Tibetan youth in an incident that occurred in Mcleod Ganj on Oct 30, Kashag (Tibetan Cabinet) has urged the Tibetan people to remain vigilant against anti-social elements and maintain peace.

“Following the incident, some mischievous individuals are spreading messages on the social media to disrupt peace and harmony between the Tibetans and the local Indian community. We appeal to the general public to remain vigilant against such anti-social elements and maintain peace,” read a statement release by the Kashag on Nov 5.

Lauding the Indian police for their prompt response by arresting the three culprits, the Kashag expressed full faith in the Indian judicial system.

“The prompt action taken by the police in arresting the three culprits is commendable,” Kashag said in the statement and added, “The three culprits are undergoing trial and law will take its own course. We have full faith in India’s judicial system.”
