DHARAMSALA, June 6: Tenzin Sangnyi was crowned Miss Tibet 2016 at the Grand Finale held at Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA ) in Dharamsala yesterday.
Sangnyi, a 24-year-old girl from Manali was declared winner of the Miss Tibet 2016 beauty pageant by the event host and Director Lobsang Wangyal, who was wearing his trade mark bright attire at the Grand Finale at TIPA last night.
The Grand Finale, attended by thousands of local Tibetans and foreigners consisted of four rounds, Introduction Round, Evening Gown Round, Traditional Costume Round and final Interview Round to test the wit and talents of the four beautiful girls vying for the crown.
Sangnyi, for her stand out performance, was declared the winner of the beauty pageant and crowned Miss Tibet 2016. Tenzin Dawa from New York was declared first runners-up and Tenzin Deckyi from Bylakuppe, the second runners-up.
