Missing Tibetan man allegedly found dead in Mississippi River

DHARAMSALA, July 11: A possible match of a Tibetan man reported missing from Minnesota’s body recovered after two days in Mississippi River, Minneapolis.
Rinzin Dorjee, aged 55, was reported missing by a co-worker at the University of Minnesota(UMN) late Thursday night. It been suspected that Dorjee may have sustained injury while at work as police found blood stains at his work place. The mystery surrounding his disappearance deepened as police recovered his body from Mississippi River near UMN after two days.
Dorjee was last seen leaving his work station alone in black hospital scrubs in a video footage but he didn’t return home and his car was found unoccupied by the police.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s office recovered the body two days after Dorjee was reported missing after leaving from work and investigators are waiting for the official confirmation from the Hennepin County medical examiner’s office on the identity of the body.
However, the Tibetan American Foundation of Minnesota (TAFM), the organization who earlier launched the search team after Dorjee’s disappearance, confirmed that the body found by the police was that of the missing Tibetan man.
“This is to let all know that the police search team found the body of the missing community member Rinzin Dorjee from the Mississippi river,” the organization posted on their official facebook account and a prayer service was organized on Sunday, July 10 at 5.30 p.m. (Minnesota local Time) as well.
