China’s dummy Panchen Lama to initiate Kalachakra in Tibet

DHARAMSALA, July 15: China’s dummy Panchen Lama to conduct Kalachakra teaching in Tibet, as the real Penchen Lama, recognized by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and revered by the Tibetans entered 21 years of Chinese abduction.
Communist Chinese government, though atheist, still keeps on meddling in the religious practice of Tibetans, organizing Kalachakra which means the wheel of time being China’s latest interference in religious affairs of the Tibetan people.
Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, the traditional seat of the Panchen Lamas and the Buddhist Association in Shigatse city had jointly announced the event, Chinese state media Xinhua reported on Jun 12.
China’s Panchen lama, Gyaltsen Norbu will conduct the Kalachakra from Jul 21 to 24 at the official monastery of Panchen Lama in Shingatse.
Elected as the Vice President of the Buddhist Association of China, the dummy Panchen Lama was credited with conducting head-touching blessings to 1.5 million Buddhists and described as an accomplished Buddhist leader to enhance his credibility to conduct the teaching.
“The ninth Panchen Lama is the only Panchen Lama to have given Kalachakra. He did so twice, in Beijing and Hangzhou, in the last century,” reads the report on the Xinhua.
