Suspected Chinese spy arrested from Manipur

DHARAMSALA, Dec 28: Assam Rifles jawans have arrested a suspected Chinese spy from a place near Moreh along the Myanmar border in Manipur’s Tengnoupal district.
Untitled-1Qin Min Xiv Xiang of Chinese origin was arrested few days ago by the Assam Rifles, India’s oldest paramilitary force which guards the porous India-Myanmar border, The Times of India reported..

According to the report, Qin Min Xiv Xiang (55) hails from Fuzian province of China. Many Chinese, Vietnamese and Myanmarese documents, foreign currencies, a pen drive and a compass were recovered from his possession after his arrest.

A team from the Assam Rifles nabbed the Chinese national after it received inputs on the movement of a suspected Chinese intelligence agent attempting to infiltrate into India from Myanmar through a track near T Minao village, the report said.

The Assam Rifles officials stationed at Moreh has not issued any statements over the nabbing of the suspected Chinese spy who still remains under their custody. Investigations are on.
