DHARAMSALA, Apr 22: China has successfully tested Dongfeng-41, (DF-41) the longest range ballistic missile capable of engaging any potential targets worldwide.
The DF-41 missile launch was registered on the US satellite tracking system and is reportedly the seventh test-firing, Washington Free Beacon reports. The DF-41 missile has a range of some 14,000 kilometers, and could carry up to 10 nuclear warheads, capable of hitting America and other major European cities within 30 minutes.
China has carried out the test of DF-41 missile on April 12, unnamed sources from pentagon have confirmed to Washington Free Beacon.
Pentagon officials have further slammed China for testing the intercontinental weapon capable of mass destruction. Acknowledging that the test had been carried out, China’s defense ministry was quoted on the ministry’s website as saying:
“It is normal to carry out scientific research tests in our own territory, according to our plans, and they are not aimed at any specific nations or targets.”
China’s claims to the South China Sea, home to some of the world’s most important shipping lanes which is believed to contain vast oil reserves, militarization of the islands they are creating or expanding with ease and testing of DF-41 missile, the longest range ballistic missile not only jeopardizes world peace but it also poses a grave danger to humanity, creating a cold war like environment.
