Himachal further extends Corona curfew but with more relaxation
DHARAMSALA, 28 May: The Himachal Pradesh government has announced a further extension of the “Corona curfew” across the state till 7th June but with more relaxation.
The state government led by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, keeping in view the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and fatalities across the state has decided to extend the current “Corona curfew” which ends on 31 May till 6 am of 1 June, the authorities announced today.
“All restrictions and exemptions shall continue as per guidelines already issued except following additional directions which will be effective from 6:00 AM of 31st May 2021 to 6:00 AM of 7th June 2021,” the authorities said announcing more relaxation to the coronavirus curfew.
The daily relaxation hours from Monday to Friday has been increased to 5 hours during which all markets/shops will open from 31 May till 7 June but will remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays, the new order sated calling on the shopkeepers and buyers to ensure compliance of COVID-19 appropriate behavior and safety protocols as advised by the Health officials.
Under the new order, with adherence to the safety measure and protocols issued by the authorities, ”all the stand-alone offices with the strength of up to 4 employees shall remain open with full strength and other offices of Government Departments/ PSUs/ local bodies/ Autonomous Bodies including the H.P. Secretariat will operate with 30% attendance.”
However as Himachal continues to battle the pandemic, all the educational, training, coaching institutes, and the like are to remain closed till further orders.
The 17th largest Indian state has recorded 1,472 fresh Covid-19 cases, 3,409 recoveries, and 59 deaths on Friday.
The tally now stands at 1,85,819 cases till now, 20,184 active cases, 1,62,636 recoveries and 2,976 deaths.
