President Sangay launches CTA’s trilingual news app

DHARAMSALA, April, 27: The President of the Central Tibetan Administration, (CTA) Dr Lobsang Sangay launched the Tibetan administration’s trilingual news app at a press conference held earlier today at the Kashag Secretariat hall here in Gangchen Kyishong.

“As per our 5-50 vision, we just launched an app where you can access Tibet.net news, Tibet TV in Tibetan, English and Chinese so that Tibetans around the world and our friends around world who are interested in Tibet related issues will have ready-made app on their smartphones so that they can conveniently enjoy and know about Tibet Issue through our App,” President Sangay said.

After President Sangay launched the CTA’s trilingual news app in Tibetan, English and Chinese, CTA’s Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR) further announced the ‘Tibet TV Take-Off film’ grant to encourage Tibetan filmmakers in the exile community to make short feature or documentary films for Tibet TV.

Two Tibetan filmmakers each from India, North America, Europe and Australia-Asia can receive a total grant of INR 200,000/- for making a film on thanking their host nation as CTA observes 2018 as ‘Thank You Year’ to express appreciation to the people and governments across the globe for supporting the cause of Tibet and the Tibetan people. The entries for the Tibet TV film grant should be submitted to the DIIR on or before November 15, 2018.
