Dalai Lama wishes Himachal CM speedy recovery from COVID-19

DHARAMSALA, 14 Oct: The Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalia Lama has wished  Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister a speedy recovery after the latter has contracted COVID-19. 

In a missive addressed to the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, the Dalai Lama has written, “I pray for your speedy recovery and hope we may see an early end to challenges that Covid-19 pandemic represents as they pose a threat to every nation across the world”.

The Chief Minister has thanked the Dalia Lama for his “good wishes,” the state’s  Information and Public Relations Department said in a statement it issued. 

Himachal’s Chief Minister confirmed in a tweet on Monday that he tested positive for Covid-19  and that he had been in home quarantine for the past one week. 

According to India’s Ministry of Health Family Welfare and Affairs, Himachal has 2507 positive Covid-19 positive cases while 15001 cases were either cured, discharged or migrated to their respective states
