Handing over of charge successfully completed, new Representative Ngodup Tsering to formally take charge on Dec 1

DHARAMSALA, Dec 1: Education Kalon(minister) Ngodup Tsering will formally take charge as the new Representative of Office of Tibet, Washington DC on December 1, after successfully concluding the handing over of charge from the outgoing Representative Penpa Tsering.

“The Handing over of charge between outgoing representative of Office of Tibet, Washington DC, Penpa Tsering and the incoming representative Ngodup Tsering concluded successfully today,” reports tibet.net, the official website of Central Tibetan Administration.

Representative of South America, Tsewang Phuntsok, oversaw the handing and taking over of the Office and expressed his satisfaction over the smooth transition. The process of handing over started on November 28 as per Kashag’s directive, the report stated.

“The three-day handing over process, which began from 28 November, has been very successfully conducted and organised by the staff and outgoing Representative. I would like to thank all of you,” the new Representative of Office of Tibet, DC was quoted as saying in the report.

The Kashag of the Central Tibetan Administration appointed Education Kalon Ngodup Tsering as the new Representative of North America based in Washington DC as per Chapter 1, Article 1(3) of the Tibetan Charter and Article 19(1) of the Tibetan Public Service Commission rules and regulations, according to a circular issued on Nov 7, 2017.

The new Representative, Ngodup Tsering will assume office from December 1 as stated in the Kashag’s circular.
