DHARAMSALA, 6 May: The Tibetan Parliament-in-exile(TPIE ) has announced that its general session will be held for a nine-day in September.
“In accordance with Article 40 of the Charter of Tibetans in exile, the fourth session of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile will be held from 7th September to 16th September 2022 in the Parliamentary Hall,” the Tibetan Parliamentary Secretariat has announced on Thursday.
The session announcement from the Parliamentary Secretariat has requested Tibetan lawmakers to register their attendance at the Parliamentary Secretariat on 6th September.
The Tibetan Parliament meets twice a year with an interval of six months, in march for Budget Session and in September for the General Session.
The fourth session of the 17th TPIE will see the Tibetan MPs discuss the work reports of the seven departments of the Central Tibetan Administration apart from deliberating on the prevailing critical situation inside Tibet and other issues of concern within the Tibetan community in exile.
