Bengaluru follows Mundgod RTYC, votes to remain under Central Tibetan Youth Congress

DHARAMSALA, August 8: The regional chapter of Tibetan Youth Congress(TYC) in Bengaluru has voted in favor of remaining under the Central Tibetan Youth Congress.

A day after the regional chapter of TYC in Mundgod unanimously decided to remain under the Central Tibetan Youth Congress, members of RTYC Bengaluru, Tibetan college students and Tibetans living in Bengaluru voted in favor of remaining under the Central Tibetan Youth Congress on August 7.

Bengaluru and Mundgod were among the eight chapters of RTYC which called for a change in the stance of the organization from Rangzen (independence) to Umay Lam (middle way) at TYC’s General Body meeting held in 2013 and parted ways with the Central TYC as their demand didn’t materialize.
