Mundgod RTYC unanimously decides to remain under Central Tibetan Youth Congress

DHARAMSALA, Aug 6: The regional chapter of Tibetan Youth Congress in Mundgod has unanimously decided to remain under the Central Tibetan Youth Congress after they met with Tenzin Jigmey, President and Tenzin Lamsang, General Secretary of Central Tibetan Youth Congress.
Tenzin Lamsang, has confirmed to Tibet Express today that Mundgod RTYC has unanimously decided in favor of remaining under Central Tibetan Youth Congress.
Eight chapters of RTYC called for a change in stance of the organization from Rangzen (independence) to Umay Lam (middle way) and parted ways with the Central Tibetan Youth Congress as their demand didn’t materialize.
“Following five rounds of meetings and discussions, members of RTYC, Mundgod, its executive and local Tibetans numbering to 80, unanimously decided to remain under Central Tibetan Youth Congress on August 5,” Lamsang told Tibet Express.
“I have no comments to make about it now, we will make an announcement about it later”, he added when enquired about the remaining 7 chapters’ status.
