DHARAMSALA, 12 Oct: The state government of Karnataka has approved a budget of Rs 3 crores for the fiscal year 2023-2024 for the welfare of the Tibetan community across Karnataka, as reported by the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) on their official website, tibet.net, on Wednesday.

DHARAMSALA, 3 Oct:Tibet Film Festival (TFF) 2023 in India is set to kick off at the College of Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarah, today at 6:30 in the evening. The organizers have announced an “exciting lineup of experimental and bold new short films from Tibetan filmmakers across the diaspora”, scheduled to be screened from October 3 – 8 October.

DHARAMSALA, 2 Oct: As China marks the 74th founding anniversary of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in Beijing, three Tibetan NGOs staged a joint protest at Main Square, McLeod Ganj yesterday, standing in solidarity with activists representing Tibet, East Turkestan, Southern Mongolia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China.

DHARAMSALA, 28 Sept: The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile (TPIE) announced that it had postponed its 6th session due to a lack of quorum. “In accordance with Article 49, Clause 2 of the Charter of Tibetans in Exile, the 6th session of the 17th TPIE stands postponed owing to the lack of quorum,” read a statement issued by the Parliamentary Secretariat on Thursday.

DHARAMSALA, 19 Sept: Around 500 Tibetans gathered today at Basket Ground Court near Ganchen Kyishong, the headquarters of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), to appeal to the 17th Tibetan Parliament in Exile (TPiE) for amendments to the Charter of Tibetans in exile.
