Himachal Chief Minister meets His Holiness the Dalai Lama to seek blessings

DHARAMSALA, Feb 1: Jai Ram Thakur, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh met with His Holiness the Dalai Lama today at the latter’s residence here in Dharamsala.
The Tibetan spiritual leader received Chief Minister Thakur along with Mahender Singh Thakur, Irrigation and Public Health Minister and several other cabinet ministers and district officials at his residence earlier today.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur met the Dalai Lama to seek his blessing, the office of the Chief Minister stated.
The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh met with the President of Central Tibetan Administration, Dr Lobsang Sangay earlier on Jan 9.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Thakur informed the political head of the Tibetan people that he wanted to call on His Holiness the Dalai Lama while the latter said he will relay the message to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
The Dalai Lama returned to his abode yesterday from the holy city of Bodh Gaya after a series of religious teachings and engagements spanning over 40 days which was attended by around 50,000 disciples from across the world.
