Daily curfew relaxation in Himachal reverted to 8 -11 AM
DHARAMSALA, 27 March: A day after relaxing the daily curfew time by six hours, Himachal Pradesh government has decided to revert it to three hours.
Curfew restrictions in the state will now be relaxed for 3 hours from 8 AM – 11 AM daily to buy essential commodities from 28 March onwards, officials announced today. after easing the curfew from today.
The decision to curtail its previously given curfew relaxation time (7 AM to 1 PM) by three hours was taken today at a meeting after the authorities have reportedly received feedbacks suggesting it was too long.
The authorities have further stressed that only one person from a family should go out and that no vehicles permitted for the same.
Himachal Pradesh was placed under curfew since Tuesday when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the 21-day nationwide lockdown.
According to worldometers.com, there are 491,120 COVID-19 cases across the world which have resulted in 22,165 deaths while 118,059 of those infected have recovered.
India Today reported that Coronavirus cases in India have crossed the 800-mark on Friday with the death toll due to Covid-19 at 17.
So far Himachal has reported 3 COVID-19 positive cases. Off the three, one died while the 32-year old man who tested positive on March 20 has recovered today after his tests were found negative.
Meanwhile, 4 persons who were tested today for COVID-19 were found negative in the state while as many as 2257 people have been kept under surveillance, of the lot 636 have completed 28 days of surveillance period.
Tomorrow, the authorities will test 13 more people.
