As many as 1.95 million members of the CCP, many of whom are now living and working all over the world, including Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States along with details of 79,000 communist party branches, many of them inside companies” has been discovered after an unprecedented “major leak” of CCP’s official records, reports Australia’s Sky News.
The leaked membership records contain party member’s names, party positions, date of birth, national identification number, ethnicity and — in some cases — their telephone number, it further exposed CCP members at companies like airline giant Boeing and COVID-19 vaccine-maker Pfizer, the report added.

The leak, a significant security breach is “likely to embarrass Xi Jinping” and “some global companies who appear to have no plan in place to protect their intellectual property from theft,” she added.
It was reported that the data was extracted from a Shanghai server by Chinese dissidents, whistleblowers, in April 2016.
Later, the leak was handed over to the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China,(IPAC) an international, cross-party alliance of 150 parliamentarians from countries across the world working to reform how democracies approach and toughen their China policy.
IPAC has stated in a statement it issued that though “a representative of IPAC received this list from a non-governmental source, but was not in a position to verify it, so handed it to experts. Journalists have since investigated and their findings are disturbing indeed.”
“IPAC will push for governments and companies to respond setting out how they intend to safeguard their values in the face of infiltration.”
