Canada Tibet Committee says it’s more encouraged than ever after China’s sanctions

DHARAMSALA, 23 Dec: The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has imposed sanctions as a “countermeasure against” the Canada Tibet Committee(CTC) and associated individuals for spreading misinformation about the human rights situation in Tibet under the “Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law” in a statement it issued on Saturday. The sanctions took effect on the same day of the announcement.

India-China Signs 6-Point Agreement to Mend Border Tension

DHARAMSALA 19 Dec:  India and China have signed a 6-point consensus agreement to mend border disputes between the two countries as India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi, both of whom serve as Special Representatives (SRs) of their respective countries held talks at the 23rd SRs meeting after an interval of 5 years in Beijing on Wednesday.

Fake Panchen Lama Skips Nepal Visit Amid Controversy, Future Remains Uncertain

Canada Imposes Sanctions on Eight Chinese Officials Over Human Rights Violations

DHARAMSALA, 12 December: Canadian foreign minister, Mélanie Joly announced sanctions against eight former or current Chinese senior officials involved in grave human rights violation in the country on International Human Rights Day, as stated in Global Affairs Canada news release on 10 December, coinciding it on the International Human Rights Day.
