DHARAMSALA, 29 April: Two Tibetans from eastern Tibet have been arrested by the Chinese authorities “earlier this month for communicating with Tibetans in exile,” reported Tibet Watch, a rights group that works to promote human rights of the Tibetans.

DHARAMSALA, 22 April: Norbulingka, the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s traditional summer palace is undergoing a large scale renovation, according to a report by Chinese state media, CGTN.

DHARAMSALA, 17 Feb: In yet another case highlighting China’s horrendous torture and sufferings endured by Tibetans inside Chinese prison, another Tibetan from restive Driru county in Nagchu, Traditional Tibetan Province of Kham has passed away in Chinese state custody.

DHARAMSALA, 4  Feb: It transpired that a Tibetan man from restive Driru county in traditional Kham province’s Nagchu prefecture (now incorporated into Tibet Autonomous Region) has been sentenced to thirteen years in prison by the Chinese authorities seven years ago.

DHARAMSALA, 29 Jan: After completing a five-year sentence on a ‘trumped-up charges ‘of  ‘inciting separatism,’ Tibetan language advocate Tashi Wangchuk has been finally freed by the Chinese authorities.

DHARAMSALA, 29 Dec: Chinese authorities have issued a stern notice against Tibetans in the so-called Tibet Autonomous Region(TAR) against employing online communication tools to “split the country” and “undermine national unity” announcing criminal prosecutions to ‘strike hard’ against offenders.

DHARAMSALA, 9 Dec: Mt. Everest, the world’s highest mountain located at the Tibet-Nepal border, known in Nepali as Sagarmatha and Chomolungma in Tibetan is 86 cm taller than it’s previous measurement of 8848 Meters above sea level.
