CCTM strongly condemns CCP agents, media for defaming Dalai Lama 

DHARAMSALA, 3 May: The Central Council of Tibetan Medicine(CCTM) has strongly condemned “Chinese Communist agents and some irresponsible media” for defaming His Holiness the Dalai Lama. 

“Tailored video of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama misused by Chinese Communist agents and some irresponsible media to malign the image of the Nobel Laureate His Holiness the Dalai Lama has hurt the sentiments of the entire Buddhist community and the followers of His Holiness to a great extent,” read a statement issued by the CCTM. 

The council has further stated that the “media must apologize to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and his followers.”

“We support your Holiness for your love and compassion to the entire,” the statement concluded.

CCTM was established on 5th Jan 2004 in accordance with the “Tibetan Medicine Central Council Act. 2003” which was passed by the Tibetan Parliament in Exile in 2003.

It has 598 registered Tibetan Medical Practitioners (Sowa-Rigpa) across 22 different countries in the world. The goal of the council is to Preserve, Promote and Propagate the rich tradition of the Tibetan Medical System.
