DHARAMSALA, March 21: The 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile (TPIE) today approved Dr Pema Yangchen, President Sangay’s nomination for the post of Education Kalon (Minister) of the 15th Kashag (Cabinet).

DHARAMSALA, March 17: Around 80 protesters have gathered at the basketball court at Gangchen Kyishong, Dharamsala to stage a ‘silent and peaceful’ protest against Kashag’s decision to replace Penpa Tsering from the Office of Tibet in Washington, Central Tibetan Administration’s (CTA) mission in North America.

DHARAMSALA, March 17: A Tibetan travel agent was arrested on Monday for selling fake passports to two Tibetans after being on the run for seven months, according to media reports.

DHARAMSALA, March 16: A group of Tibetans who call themselves ‘Truth Seeking Volunteers’ demanded impeachment of President of Central Tibetan Administration, Dr Lobsang Sangay and termination of Tibetan parliamentarian, Tenpa Yarphel at a press conference held earlier today at Hotel Club House in Mcleod Ganj, Dharamsala.

DHARAMSALA, March 10: Thousands of Tibetans and supporters in Dharamsala today gathered at the courtyard of Tsug-lag-khang, the main temple in Mcleod Ganj, Dharamsala to observe the 59th anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising of 1959 and pay tribute to those who lost their lives when Chinese troops crushed that uprising in Lhasa, the Tibetan capital as well as all those Tibetans who had sacrificed their lives for the cause of Tibet.

DHARAMSALA, March 9:  Around 80 activists from the Tibetan Youth Congress(TYC), were detained by Delhi police for protesting at the Chinese Embassy in New Delhi, a day ahead of the 59th anniversary of the Tibetan National Uprising Day.
