DHARAMSALA, 3 Dec: The Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, with his entourage, has temporarily departed from his residence in Dharamsala for a month-long sojourn in the Tibetan refugee settlement of Bylakuppe in Karnataka around 9:30 am today.

DHARAMSALA, 27 Dec: Canada Tibet Committee’s (CTC) Executive Director Sherap Therchin expressed disappointment and felt let down by the lack of support he and his colleagues received from the Tibetan community and the administration in exile after they were sanctioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Chinese Communist Government on Sunday, though they received overwhelming support from the Canadian Government and Parliament.

DHARAMSALA, 16 Dec: Students for a Free Tibet France is set to stage a protest against the Guimet Museum on Wednesday, 18 December, in front of the museum, SFT France announced on its Instagram page on Thursday.

DHARAMSALA 7 Nov:  To date, 159 Tibetans have self-immolated inside Tibet in protest against Chinese occupation, yet there is only one book instead of 159, Dr. Gyal Lo cautioned at the launch of the Tibetan translation of Barbara Demick’s book, “Eat the Buddha: Life and Death in a Tibetan Town.”
