DHARAMSALA, 28 May: The Himachal Pradesh government has announced a further extension of the “Corona curfew” across the state till 7th June but with more relaxation.

We are very fortunate to be blessed by the virtual presence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the inaugural function this morning. It is of utmost importance that all of us Tibetans abide by the guidance of His Holiness and the Executive will make every effort to make sure that we follow and act in accordance with the path shown by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. DHARAMSALA, 27 May: His Holiness the Dalai Lama today graced the occasion virtually as Sikyong-elect Penpa Tsering was swore-in as the new political head of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) in exile.

DHARAMSALA, 26 May: The political head of the Tibetan people, Central Tibetan Administration’s (CTA) President Dr Lobsang Sangay who is completing his second tenure of the office today thanked the Dalai Lama, Tibetans, both inside and outside Tibet and said that serving the Tibetan people as Sikyong has been “the greatest honor of my life.”

DHARAMSALA, 21 May: The COVID- 19 Task Force of the Central Tibetan Administration reported a new weekly high of 636 new cases and 18 deaths among exiled Tibetans in India and Nepal in the past week as India continues to battle the deadly second wave of the pandemic.

DHARAMSALA, 17 May: The 26th anniversary of the 11th Panchen Lama, Gendun Choekyi Nyima’s arbitrary detention by the Chinese government “is a grim reminder of the gross injustice inflicted on Tibet and Tibetans by the Chinese,” says the Kashag led by the President of the Central Tibetan Administration Dr Lobsang Sangay.
