DHARAMSALA, 30 Nov: The Resolve Tibet Act, a bill addressing the Tibet-China dispute, received unanimous bipartisan support from the House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC) during a markup hearing on 29 November. It is now poised to proceed to the House floor, reinforcing US efforts to compel China into negotiations with the Dalai Lama’s envoys to resolve the longstanding Tibet-China dispute.

DHARAMSALA, 17 November: The Chinese Communist Party’s latest ‘White Paper’ on Tibet claimed a flourishing publishing sector in Tibetan languages, which in reality, has been undergoing heightened restrictions and is bound to limited themes under the scrutiny of Chinese authorities. China’s restrictions on the Tibetan language and its publications inside Tibet apply across all three traditional provinces of Tibet: Kham, Amdo, and U-Tsang.

CTA Denounces China’s White Paper On Tibet, Calls It Unacceptable
