DHARAMSALA, 14 April: Geshe Gangri and Namgyal Qusar were sworn in as the new members of the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile.

DHARAMSALA: 14 April: Tibetan Women’s Association (TWA) began its 13th General Body Meeting today at the TIPA here in the exile headquarters of the Tibetan people. Around 51 Tibetan women from the Central and Regional chapters of the TWA have gathered for the meeting to elect its new Executive members, discuss and lay down plans for its campaigns and projects for the coming years.

DHARAMSALA 11 April: Exiled Tibetans across the world cast their vote in the preliminary elections of the Sikyong or political leader of the Tibetan people and members of the 17th Tibetan Parliament in exile today.

DHARAMSALA, 8 April: MP Lobsang Choejor announced today that he has resigned from the parliament on “moral grounds” following former Kalon Tripa Prof Samdhong Rinpoche’s take on the parliament’s impeachment of the three Justice Commissioners of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission(TSJC).

DHARAMSALA, 31 March: The Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama has expressed his delight after the Indian president underwent successful bypass surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on Tuesday.

DHARAMSALA, 26 March: The Chief Justice Commissioner and the two Justice Commissioners of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission (TSJC) said that “no one is above the law” and that they did nothing against the Charter of Tibetans in exile today to refute the resolution passed by the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile (TPIE) to impeach them on Thursday.

DHARAMSALA, 25 March: The Tibetan Parliament-in-exile (TPIE) today impeached the Chief Justice Commissioner and the two Justice Commissioners of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission by passing an official motion in the Parliament for the trio’s impeachment in accordance with the Clause (IV), Article (63) of the Charter of Tibetans in exile.

DHARAMSALA, 22 March: Kelsang Dorjee Aukatsang (Kaydor) pledged to “build a dynamic and efficient” administration by transforming “Tibetan freedom struggle, the Central Tibetan Administration, and the education system.”

DHARAMSALA, 21 March: The Tibetan Election Commission today announced the candidates shortlisted for the final round of election for the third Sikyong(President) of the Tibetan people and the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-exile as it declared open the final round of the 2021 Tibetan general elections.
