Tenzin Dickey crowned ‘Miss Social Media’ at Manappuram Miss Asia 2017

DHARAMSALA, Nov 24: Tenzin Dickey was crowned Miss Social Media at the third ‘Manappuram Miss Asia 2017’ held in Kerala, India.
Tenzin Dickey, the second runners-up and Miss photogenic of Miss Tibet 2016 added another feather to her hat as she was crowned ‘Miss Social Media’ at the Manappuram Miss Asia 2017, an international beauty pageant organised by Pegasus Event Production Company.
“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude towards Pegasus event of Miss Asia for giving me this lifetime opportunity to represent my beautiful country Tibet where peace is the way of life. The pageant focuses on changing the lives of hundreds of patients who suffer from various heart diseases. It encourages me more to put my best foot forward to enter this competition,” Tenzin Dickey told Tibet Express when asked why she took part in the pageant.
On her achievement, she thanked her family and every one who supported her. “Thank you everyone for your support. Thank you to my family for everything. Not a winner but a learner. PS- I won the title of Miss Social Media. Love,” Dickey wrote on her Facebook post.
The pageant of the Asian and Eurasian beauties aims to bring out and appreciate the genuine beauty and inherent talents of women from the region. Twenty-one beauties from Bangladesh, Bashkortostan, Bhutan, China, Indonesia, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Tatarstan, Tibet, the United Kingdom and Vietnam took part in the pageant.
Honey Tian Mi from China was crowned ‘Manappuram Miss Asia 2017’ while Regina Mukhamadieva from Bashkortostan and Akanksha Mishra from India were declared the first and second runners up respectively.
Hailing from Bylakuppee Tibetan settlement, Dickey, 22 is a Bachelor of Arts (BA) student of CUTS, Varanasi.
