Tibetan Settlement Office of Dharamsala marked its golden jubilee

DHARAMSALA, OCT 10: Hundreds of Tibetans and supporters gathered at the courtyard of Tsug-lag-khang, the main temple in Mcleod Ganj, Dharamsala yesterday to celebrate the golden jubilee of Tibetan Settlement Office(TSO) of Dharamsala.
The golden jubilee celebration of the TSO was attended by, among others the President of the Central Tibetan Administration CTA) Sikyong Lobsang Sangay as the Chief Guest and Deputy Commissioner of Kangra, CP Verma as the Special Guest along with the Tibetan parliamentarians and dignitaries.
Sikyong Lobsang Sangay, the elected head of the Tibetan people in his address called for unity among Tibetans to sustain and strengthen Tibetan movement. Sikyong Sangay further stated that the Tibetan people will forever remain indebted to the government and the people of India at large and Himachal Pradesh in particular, and urged Tibetans to maintain harmonious relations with local Indians.
The Deputy Commissioner of Kangra lauded the bonhomie between the Tibetans and the local Indians.
“Ever since the Tibetan communities came into being, Tibetans have been living in peace and harmony with the Indian communities,” CP Verma said and further added that he hopes the ‘inalienable’ and ‘inseparable’ friendship between the two communities will remain the same for days and years to come.”
