Dharamsala Tibetans head to polls for Settlement Officer

DHARAMSALA, June 6: Tibetans living in Dharamsala today voted in the final round of Dhramsala’s Tibetan Settlement Officer (TSO) election.

The final round has Dawa Rinchen, Thupten Jigmey and Tashi Dorjee, the three candidates with the highest number of votes in the preliminary round held on May 28, vying for the post .

Tibetans living in Dharamsala jurisdiction which extends up to Gopalpur caste their vote in ten different polling stations today to choose their Selttelement Officer.

“The results of the final round of election for the Dhramsala’s TSO will be announced tomorrow,” an official on election duty said.
