Dalai Lama arrives in Ladakh to a warm reception

DHARAMSALA, 11 July: His Holiness the Dalai Lama reached Leh, Ladakh this morning to a grand reception from thousands of people from across Ladakh in their traditional attire holding silk scarves in their hands lined both sides of the road from the airport leading up the Shewatsel Phodrang to greet him with khatags (ceremonial scarves) and incense.

CTA President reaches New Zealand on his maiden visit

DHARAMSALA, 15 June: The President of the Central Tibetan Administration(CTA) has landed at the Auckland International Airport on his maiden visit to New Zealand on Wednesday. He was welcomed by Representative Karma Singey from the Office Of Tibet Canberra, Tibet Information Office-Canberra President Wangdue Tsering and executive members of the New Zealand Tibetan Association along with members of the Chinese-Tibetan Friendship Association and Tibetans on the island.
